Jadeite Double Egg Cup History

The Jadeite double egg cup was part of the breakfast set, which also included some pieces from the 1700 line. The 1700 line was a small dinnerware set that contained similar pieces to Jane Ray, but without the “rays” or ridges that Jane Ray has. Thus earning the 1700 line the nickname of “Plain Jane” by collectors. The breakfast set consisted of a dinner plate, cup and saucer, 20 ounce milk pitcher, double egg cup, and the 16 ounce breakfast bowl. The egg cup is listed in the Anchor Hocking catalogue as catalogue no. G39.
